I came across a girl recently looking to do what she told me was a food-themed boudoir shoot as a surprise gift for her boyfriend. I thought it was sweet how excited she was for the photo shoot, and how she told me about the outfits she picked out etc. and how she was going all-out, rending an Airbnb and everything.
When I got to the shoot, she admitted that the shoot wasn't for a boyfriend, but that she was actually an escort, and the photos were for her website. I was really uncomfortable with her lying to me, and should have left right then and there, especially because it's way different to shoot for someone when you think it's a fun gift than it is knowing that the photos will be used to get customers. I felt like I should follow through, but ended up sincerely regretting it. The "inspiration" photos she shared with me were anything but, and all came off as cheesy and oddly composed, but she insisted and micromanaged, trying to get every shot to be as close as possible to a recreation of what she had found online (already a nightmare). She was incredibly difficult to pose, harder still to please, did not take direction well at all, and asked to see every single photo after I had taken it. We had agreed on a two-hour shoot, but she kept asking for more and more settings, and ended up taking up three with no regard to my schedule or policy. When we finally finished, she said she needed the photos rushed so that she could launch her website.
