Laura & Juan

Laura and I worked together at East Palo Alto Academy High School, the first school where I worked full time after getting my masters. She and I were two of only four math teachers in the department (it was a tiny school) and she and I always got along really well. After changing to a new school, she and I have definitely tried staying in touch, and I was so excited when I heard that she and her long-time boyfriend, Juan, were finally engaged!

I had a lot of fun with these two, getting to both shoot outside on a particularly sunny January day, and in their newly purchased house. I also get the pleasure of working with Conner Dubay to take a few of these photos one step further to create their save-the-dates and invitations for their November wedding!
