It's always so fun to see a wedding that's really particular to the bride and groom, and these two take the cake (actually, pie) in that category! From the pre-ceremony movie theme music, playbill programs, Gilmore Girls "lala" song instead of a wedding march, to - yes - wedding pie instead of wedding cake, every little detail of Donna and Nathaniel's wedding was so particular to them.
From what I was able to learn about them, they met through a church singles group (all of whom attended the wedding and all of whom were absolutely delighted to see their friends tie the knot) after Donna had lost her first husband. Both the bride and groom's family was so involved in making the ceremony and reception special, and I can honestly say I've never been to a wedding that served burgers for dinner. These movie buffs even served popcorn at the reception! I absolutely love the happy little photo shoot we got to do in a beautifully secluded area surrounded by willow trees; I feel like that's where their love and happiness really shone! Plus, their little choreographed swing routine wasn't half bad either.
