Aubrey & Sergio

LOOK at these lovely humans! Just LOOK at them!

Aubrey and Sergio moved in next door to me a few months ago, and I am so very happy they did. When they first moved in, I invited them over for dinner to welcome the to the neighborhood, and we've been having game nights and "family dinners" ever since. Aubrey is a nurse from Minnesota, and Sergio is an actual rocket scientist from Valladolid, Spain. They met when Aubrey was studying abroad, and they just moved to the bay area since Sergio got a job at NASA Ames. Even though they're already technically married (you know, getting a green card ain't a quick process), I got to shoot their engagement photos a few weekends ago. Their official wedding is only a few weeks away! It's in Sergio's home town in Spain, and guess who's invited? That's right, I AM. My first time in Spain! WOOH!

Anyway, back to the point: look at these gorgeous photos we got!

This shoot was very near and dear to my heart; not just because these two have become some of my closest friends, but because all the extra behind-the-sceens goodness that came along with it. The night before (even though we had to wake up super early), we stayed up unexpectedly early to coordinate their outfits - three in total - for the shoot. Aubrey later told me that she hardly even slept that night because she couldn't stop thinking about wedding planning details. We wanted the lighting to be perfect, so we headed out to Rancho San Antonio Park at the crack of dawn. Even though there were quite a few people hiking there, we had so much privacy throughout the entire session! They kept saying how they were worried about being awkward and not looking good in the shots, but just by having a good time with each other and enjoying themselves, these photos came out SO WELL!

Can't wait to see them tie the knot in Spain in a few weeks!
