I went to high school with A, she and I spent years together in choir and drama, and always got along really well; so when she reached out about engagement photos, I was excited to see her and work with her again! She had moved out-of-state a few years before but wanted her engagement photos to highlight some of her favorite aspects of the Bay Area. We settled on this location in Half Moon Bay that features the beach and some beautiful trees native to the California coast (I've shot at this location so many times and I never get tired of it!).
One very fun part of this session was that A's pre-teen son was included, since this marriage was more than just two people coming together, but a family growing. We had so much fun with both silly and dramatic poses based on the lighting and backdrop, and I was thrilled with how these turned out. Even though A + J's wedding was planned to be in Arkansas, they ended up booking me for their big day, as well; which ended up being my very first out-of-state wedding!
