I had such a wonderful time photographing this wedding! I generally like to be a little more proactive when it comes to planning the photography for my wedding clients, but it was a little trickier with these two since A + J both work in different branches of the military and were each stationed in different parts of Europe during the wedding planning process.
The couple used their extensive travel prowess as a theme for a lot of the decor, which I absolutely loved! They were thorough and mindful of all the little details throughout the day, including fans as favors to keep guests cool during the ceremony, rose petals in cones on the chairs in the ceremony area for guests to scatter, a champagne tower, and much more! Even the color coordination with the vibrant flowers and muted green bridesmaids dresses was on point, but it was obvious that the bride and groom were still having fun without getting too caught up with the details of the day.
The venue was the Hacienda de las Flores in Moraga, California, which means there were so many gorgeous backdrops for photos throughout the day. The bride chose to not only do a first look with her groom, but also one with her bridesmaids and another with her dad. Each moment was so special and heartwarming, but I do have to say that the end of the night was one of my favorite parts! The bride not only changed outfits but also changed her hairstyle so that she could really enjoy her reception. Sealing the evening with an explosive grand exit was really the cherry on top of a beautiful event.
