A + V's Rainy Berkeley Proposal

A and I went to summer camp together when we were kids, but I was surprised when her soon-to-be fiancé reached out to me to capture his surprise proposal. Despite it being a pretty gloomy day, V couldn't wait to pop the question! The proposal location was very important to V since they had a special moment on this specific bench on Grizzly Peak on their first date.

After she excitedly said yes, we went down the hill to the Berkeley Botanical Gardens — and because of the weather, we practically had the whole place to myself! We had a great time bringing out as much joy as possible to brighten the cloudy day. Some of my favorite photos from this session were the wide shots I got of them next to the pond in the gardens. I haven't had the opportunity to shoot at the Berkeley Botanical Gardens since this session, but I'm excited for my next chance!
