E + C were referred to me by my friend who was DJing their wedding, so I already knew that it would be a cool wedding to be at. I remember thinking when they booked me that their venue looked familiar, being pretty certain that another couple that I recently booked were also going to have their wedding there — but when the bride told me that her parents lived at and managed the house, I thought I must have been mistaken (just wait!)
This wedding was at a beautiful home on the Stanford University campus, and the bride's parents were university employees who held events at the house for various occasions. I was in awe at the beautiful details and intricate architecture around the home and tried to capture a lot of different angles. The couple wanted to prioritize their dog in the ceremony and throughout the day, telling me that there will also be a few other dogs coming. I am a huge dog lover, so I was thrilled.
(Remember how I said that the venue looked familiar?) As guests started to attend, I was taking some candid photos — especially of the dogs — when I noticed a very unique pup: a corgi husky mix. When I saw that dog, I knew for sure that the gorgeous blonde holding the leash was in fact another one of my wedding clients! Her fiancé was the bride's sister, and they were also planning their wedding at the same house! It was by total coincidence and it made me even more excited since that meant I got the get to know the venue and the family a little better before the second sibling's wedding.
