J + F knew exactly where they wanted to have their engagement photos taken, and I had such a wonderful time working with them in two gorgeous locations in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. As someone who grew up in the Bay Area, I found that I never really explored areas that were considered "too touristy" — so until pretty recently, I had never been to the Winchester Mystery House, Alcatraz, the SF or Berkeley botanical gardens, or a lot of beautiful spots around the area, including the two locations we visited for this session.
We started the photoshoot at Stow Lake, where we enjoyed the scenery both by the water and around the more forested area. Right away, I could see how well this couple clicked, so capturing their connection ended up being a breeze! Then, for sunset, we headed over to the Dutch Windmill. Even though the tulips weren't in full bloom, we got some pretty incredible shots of the golden light and what flowers were still in the garden. This session made me so excited to capture J + F's wedding a few months later!
