K + J's Stunning Boho Wedding

A bride and groom kissing in their seats of their outdoor wedding reception at dusk, guests seated at a long table with twinkling string lights, elegant mansion backdrop, relaxed atmosphere.

To this day, I think this wedding marked a shift in my photography style and editing style, and really boosted my confidence in my business. This wedding had so many thoughtful details, gorgeous decorations, and some very unique outfits. I love how the bridesmaids' outfits were cohesive without all being the same color or style, how the groomsmen had fun with their suits rather than sticking to something more traditional; and I loved featuring all the different parts of this estate to bring the details to life! This home is technically part of the Stanford University campus, and the parents of the groom live in and manage it as part of their role as university employees.

Funny enough, I had photographed the groom's sister's wedding at the same venue a few months earlier without anyone realizing until I was there shooting the wedding; so I had already had the chance to explore the venue and get an idea of where I can shoot!

This wedding was also special to me because my nephew was born on this very day! Having already met the family of the groom and their God-siblings, it was a fun little added bonus to be able to celebrate that with them during this gorgeous day.
