Of all the times I've photographed weddings in San Francisco's stunning City Hall, the stars really aligned for this one. Usually, you have to dance around other couples and their photographers, waiting patiently to use a certain area, and sometimes you even have to battle with the lighting depending on the time of day; but not for this beautiful couple!
After a whirlwind of a last-minute booking, and squeezing in an engagement photoshoot, I was so excited to capture P + J's big day. SF City Hall usually has a great variety of lighting in different parts of the building, and I had a lot of fun playing with all of them with these two. What ended up being some of my favorite photos of the day were actually the pictures in the harsh, direct sunlight coming through to the ground level — which is something I usually try to avoid! I feel like the combination of the lighting, the architecture, and the grooms' personalities ended up making those photos feel like they came right out of a magazine.
